Van Roekel Announced as Recipient of 2022 WON Education Scholarship
Women of NATE (WON) is pleased to announce that four outstanding recipients have been selected to receive the 2022 WON Education Scholarship.
The WON Education Scholarship was established to encourage and inspire more women to enter the tower and communications infrastructure construction, service and maintenance industries.
Women play a prominent role as leaders and visionaries in the advancement of wireless and broadcast communications. Through the establishment of the Women of NATE (WON) initiative, the Association is proud to recognize the vital contributions of women in the diverse tower and communications infrastructure industry. Four separate scholarships valued up to $1,000 will be awarded to four different applicants.
On February 21, 2022 in conjunction with the 2022 NATE UNITE Conference, Gracie Van Roekel was announced as one of the recipients of this year’s highly sought after scholarship. Gracie, daughter to TSI Sales Executive Andy Van Roekel, is a 2nd year student at the University of Iowa, majoring in Marketing. (School choice clearly makes Dad very happy since he is just a bit of a Hawkeyes fan).
Of the Scholarship, WON Chairwoman Andy Page Lee stated, “Women of NATE is proud to offer women a platform to help further their educational goals. We are pleased to support these outstanding future leaders as their contributions will play a critical role toward our industry’s success.”
